João Ascenso was founding partner of Ascenso & Associados a boutique law firm dedicated to tax law and litigation that merged into Azevedo & Ascenso.
João provides tax services for individuals and businesses, notably tax analysis and tax planning, and tax litigation, among others. His professional experience is diverse. João has been a Teaching Assistant of tax law at the University of Lisbon Law School and the Portuguese Military Academy, an advisor to the Portuguese Government, and Lawyer of the Tax Department of Miranda Law Firm. He has also concluded an LLM at the University of Michigan, under a Fulbright scholarship.
The professional diversity and specialization in tax law makes João a multifaceted lawyer with deep and modern legal knowledge which is put to use in the context of the economic activities of his clients. Apart from being a full time Lawyer, João is a husband and a father who loves culinary and nature.
